The other day I was walking behind a couple and their German Shepard. This dog was young-ish and a bit… exuberant… on the lead, and was not sitting as they stopped for a stop light. The woman who was with the dog snapped, she had had enough: “Why do you always make everything about YOU?!” she yelled at the dog in full view of everyone walking down the street.

Yes tapping! But also... healed trauma? With tapping. Say more please. Like what were your set up statements? Or was it being consistently tapping? Or.. what more can you say?

The set-up statement was something like "Even though I'm anxious, I'm safe in this moment." Because animals have such high alert systems, I'll also use the phrase "uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh" at many different times while going through the points. I've had success using myself as a proxy for the animal too. It's so amazing!

Oh I can relate too - our pets are just like another child!

Great post, I'll be sharing this with my hubby as he often gets overly frustrated with our 15 month old pup.
